Introduction

This wiki was created to present links to documents that support the development of AWN's Position Papers and also to publish current drafts of the Position Papers and Key Statistics on ageing.  ThIs wiki will constantly evolve and other uses for it will be considered in future.

What is a wiki?

A wiki is a website that can be used to collaborate on documents.  It is a great way to store and organise a large amount of information economically and efficiently.  If you are interested in commenting, creating or amending any document on this wiki please contact info@ageingwellnetwork.ie  or scroll to the end of thist page and read about becoming a wiki member.  Even if you don't become a member you can still use the wiki to access information.

What will you find on this wiki?

You will find a:

  • Research Centre,
  • Position Papers, and
  • Key Statistics.

You will also find links to Ageing related videos on You Tube and bookmarks saved on Delicious.  Position Papers can only be accessed by wiki members.

Why use a wiki?

The Ageing Well Network decided to use a wiki for the following reasons:

  • Members can access key documents which support the development of the Position Papers.
  • Members can access the latest versions of the Position Papers.
  • New pages and links can easily be added.
  • Members can comment and collaborate on documents if they want to.
  • When the Ageing Well Network is wound up, this wiki will continue to be hosted so that members can access its information. (However no further updates will be possible unless a payment is made to the wiki provider).
